Cheltenham Town achieve a clean sheet in the game.

Brown had this to say on the team keeping a clean sheet

“Yeah, it was a big shift from the boys especially in the second half not to concede, right now it’s big for us to keep the clean sheets, so yeah everyone is pleased”

In the closing stages of the game Morecambe started pressing the Robins defence. Yet, the best chance of the game came from a strike by forward Kieran Phillips which saw the ball come of the crossbar.

When asked about this chance Brown said this.

“Yeah, it’s a good bit of skill from the lad and a good strike, sometimes you need that bit of luck to go your way, but I thought we defend well enough and deserved the win.”

After the victory on Tuesday Wade Elliot’s men will look to it make back-to-back wins. This weekend they will be welcoming MK Dons to the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

This is what Brown had to say on whether a win is possible

“100% all of us believe that, obviously we beat them in the Papa John’s Trophy, so yeah we will go into that with full confidence.”

The MK Dons game is an interesting on for Brown as he is a former play of the team

Brown on facing his former team

“There is a little bit of an edge to it especially when you are playing against your mates and stuff, you know them quite well, it has a different feel but at the end of the day it is just another game.”

Cheltenham were going into a six-point game. This is because Morecambe were at the bottom of the league table coming to game. Thanks to the win the Robins went 4 points clear of relegation.

Brown on furthering the distance between relegation

“I wouldn’t have said we were feeling pressure anyway, but we know it’s a long season we got to take it game by game and three points helps massively.”

The team has struggled to score in the first half. How this was changed by Ben Williams scoring in the 35th minute of the game.

Brown on the goal before the half time whistle

“I think we went quite attacking today, we were a big threat going forward especially in the first half and I am just glad we got the goal.”

Coming into the game both teams towards the bottom of the table.

Brown speaking on the mentally when playing teams in a similar position in the league

“No, we are seeing every game as a chance to get the three points it doesn’t matter if the team is around us or above us, we feel if we are at it, we can beat any team in the league.”
