The Ospreys are coming off a great season in which they made the playoffs and achieved some stellar results. There is a lot of excitement around the region, and rightly so. Toby Booth's squad will be looking to have another impressive year in the URC. There is a lot of talent in the team, but three players in particular will be crucial to their success.

When he is fully fit, you could strongly argue that Jac Morgan is the best player in Wales. The flanker is a tremendous athlete and a very well-rounded player. Morgan is a dynamic ball carrier, a strong tackler, and excellent over the ball. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old has been injured in the past couple of seasons. Yet, at the end of last year, he showed why he was so important to the Ospreys. He is crucial on and off the field because Morgan is a great leader and knows what it’s like to perform on the biggest stages. Ultimately, if he stays healthy, he will be one of the best players in the league and should help his team achieve great things.

Dewi Lake

Lake has developed into a sensational player of late. He led Wales on their tour Down Under and was a bright spot in a disappointing tour for the Welsh national team. Lake is one of the best ball carriers in the country and brings immense physicality to the game. Furthermore, along with players like Morgan and Adam Beard, there is a strong foundation for the Ospreys, which boasts a nice blend of youth and experience. Lake will continue his form from Australia to help the region climb up the order this year. Finally, the fact that he can play hooker and flanker is essential, as versatility is needed in a long campaign.

Kieran Hardy

Kieran Hardy’s move to the Ospreys was one of the more high-profile signings of the off-season. The scrum-half will be moving from the Scarlets to their rivals this season. It is an exciting move for Hardy because it will be his first chance to have consistent starting minutes, as Gareth Davies often got the nod ahead of him. Furthermore, it is also a significant improvement in the position and will add a lot of experience, as he has been involved in major tournaments and internationals for many years now. Hardy should be able to bring different dynamics to the Ospreys' attack, which should get fans excited.

The Ospreys are a great team, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the upcoming season.
