The second round of the Six Nations kicks off with Scotland taking on France in Murrayfield. Both teams have a lot to prove heading into Saturday's match. Scotland is the team that has the potential to challenge for the title this year. The Gregor Townsend-led team have the players to get some significant results. They had a mixed performance in Cardiff, as they scored 20 points but didn’t look great in the second half. Yet, they allowed Wales to edge themselves back into the game in the second half. They will make their first home appearance in the tournament at Murrayfield. They will aim for a massive win against a solid French side. There have been three changes to the side from the Wales game. The team has altogether dropped former captain Jamie Ritchie. Finn Russell will always play a significant role in the team's performance. It's because the Scotsman is unplayable when he is at his best. Scotland will look for a massive result before going into the first break of the tournament.

France Look To Bounce Back

France will be looking to bounce back. They had a disappointing Friday night opener against Ireland. When on form, the French are a difficult team to beat. Many people have them as favourites going into the championship. Of course, they are missing their captain, Antonie Dupont. That seemed to affect the game against Ireland. There is an incredible amount of talent in the French squad. They will look to bounce back against Scotland in Edinburgh and put on a dominant display. They will need players like Charles Ollivion and Thomas Ramos to step up.

The Bets

There are some exciting betting options to choose from. The best bet seems to be for Scotland to stay within five points of France. It is not the same Scotland team of old, and the fact that their home will play in their favour. Yet, after seeing the second-half performance in Cardiff, they may not be able to hold off a strong France. A value bet is the total points to be over 45.5. They are both attacking teams and can score loads of tries. Finally, a long-shot bet is Russell to be the player of the match as he is one of the best players on the pitch. Furthermore, if France rush him like they did to Jack Crowley, it could allow him to get a read on when to delay his pass. The fly-half could be in for a big game.

Best bet: Scotland to win or stay within five points of France (handicap +5)-Evens

Value bet: Total points to be over 45.5- 11/10

Longshot bet: Finn Russell to be player of match-5/1
