England may have lost two key players for the 2024 Six Nations. Tom Curry must undergo surgery on his hip. Curry is an outstanding player and one of the best flankers in the game today. Yet Curry is one of many English back-row players with injury problems. Ben Earl will also hope his recovery goes well for the Six Nations.

Curry is a great player for England and Sale, and he played a massive role in England, winning a lot of silverware. Whether that is winning Six Nations championships or going to a World Cup final in 2019. England are going through a transitional period. Curry will be very important. It is because he has the perfect blend of youth and experience. Yet now that he has a injury, it takes away a crucial player for England and the Sharks. Sale's director of rugby, Alex Sanderson, spoke about the injury.

"This is the only option,

"He is still a young lad, and it's the best thing for him in the short term. To ensure he can be more robust [and] to train and progress his game how he wants to."

Earl was a standout player for England, and it will be a massive blow for the team if he misses the Six Nations. Yet, the Saracens' head coach, Mark McCall, states the injury is better than first feared.

"He will be playing in January," McCall said. "There are three or four games in January, so that would be ample time for Ben to get in. He's had a busy time with many minutes in August, September, and October. A six-week period not playing rugby might be good for him in the long run. We're all pleased it's not a serious long-term injury."
