Saturday was a good night for Diaz, as he got his revenge against Masvidal, earning himself a majority decision victory. It is always great to see a fighter like Diaz. However, many people had the fight scored for Masvidal, and some fans even called the result a robbery Masvidal himself thought it was.

"I know the crowd influenced the judges," Masvidal told reporters at the post-fight news conference. "A lot of those shots were landing in the corner. I was getting my timing down—throw three or four shots that wouldn't land, and then throw a good power shot. I'd see that I hurt or backed him up, or he'd start goofing around. I hurt him to the body numerous times. I think one of the judges only gave me two rounds, and there's no way."

"From what I saw, I hurt him way more than he ever hurt me," Masvidal said. "I got way cleaner shots, especially to the body. He never even did anything to my body. I hurt his body. A couple of times, I hurt him, and he backed up. He put much pressure on me and was coming forward but never hurt me. I don't think he landed any meaningful punches. Eight (rounds) to two is f*cking nuts."

"I'm going to beat Jake Paul's f*cking ass, and I'm down to fight the highest-ranked boxer I can find," Diaz said. "… And my main objective, like it's always been, is to be the best fighter in the world, so I want to return and get the UFC title. Leon Edwards, Jake Paul, and anyone else: You're dead."
