Why Usman Is Going to Dominate on Saturday Night.

The UFC is arguably putting on one of the biggest fights of the year this Saturday night where "The Nigerian Nightmare" Kamaru Usman takes on "Gamebred" Jorge Masvidal for the UFC welterweight championship. This fight is a rematch from when these two warriors fought on fight Island back in July. At the end of the fight we heard the legendry voice of the octagon Bruce Buffer said "and still". In this piece I will look at the reasons why we are going have the same result in this fight.

What you have to keep in mind with these point is that it has only been 9 months since the last time these two have fought. If we take a look at Usman's last fight against Burns, he shows that he is not just a wrestler and that he can hold his own on the feet. The reason I say this because you could see the power that Kamaru holds in his hands. The evidence in the fight to show this is the way that Burns reacted to when he was getting hit and if that is not enough, he finished Burns in the second round when they were standing. Another example of Usman skills on the feet is when he broke Colby Covington's Jaw which resulted in the finish. So, looking at the Burns fight you could clearly see the improvements in his striking skills. The coaching of Trevor Wittman probably contributed a lot to this. Now let’s have a look at the BMF champion. He has not fought since the loss in the early summer, so we really don't know how much Gamebred has really improved. Masvidal has been really patient because he has kind of sat on his spot and waited for Usman to fight Burns. Also, he did not fight Colby which I think was a really smart move because in my personal opinion Masvidal would loss this fight because he could come across the same problems that he would come against if he was going to fight Usman. The reason I say that is because Covington is also very high-level wrestler who can hold his own on the feet.
