Arnold Allen is a solid contender in the featherweight division and has built up a respectable fan base. He is coming off a win at UFC 304, where he beat Giga Chikadze in Manchester. It will be interesting to see what the UFC does next with the Englishman. However, one thing is certain: they have many potential options for his next opponent.

Aljamain Sterling

Aljamain Sterling is among the best bantamweights to have competed in the UFC octagon. That is why, when he moved to 145, there was a lot of hype. The American secured a great win over Calvin Kattar and will be looking to make a charge towards the featherweight title. Allen could be the perfect opponent for the former bantamweight king because he has been a mainstay in the rankings for many years and will provide a fantastic test for Sterling. Both competitors are very well-rounded and can take the fight anywhere. Furthermore, a win would do both fighters a world of good and get them back into the title picture.

Alexander Volkanovski

You could argue strongly that the Australian deserves another shot at the 145 crown. Alexander Volkanovski is arguably the best featherweight ever to do it. This means that if he doesn't get a title shot next, he deserves a big name in the division, and Allen could fill that role nicely. They are both prominent names in the division, and many fans would be interested in seeing them square off in the UFC. Both of them are incredibly durable and talented fighters, and if Allen could beat Volkanovski, it would grant him a title shot immediately.

Lerone Murphy

Murphy is a rising star in the UFC and will look to make a real impact at 145 sooner rather than later. He is coming off a win against the legendary Edson Barboza. A fight against Allen would establish Murphy as a top contender in the division, and a win would put him in the title picture. However, from Allen's perspective, if you take on a rising star and get a result, the UFC will often reward you with big fights. People may see it as a risk for Allen, but there are upsides to taking a fight like this. One thing is for sure: the contest would have to happen in the UK.

Allen is a great fighter, and seeing what he does next will be interesting because the Englishman deserves a significant opportunity.
