There is excitement building because the NFL season is very close to getting underway. This time of year, there is a lot of talk about who will win the Super Bowl and the MVP award. There is so much talent around the league now that picking who will win the prestigious MVP award is almost impossible. However, some names come to mind, along with exciting betting options.

Best Bet: Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is one of the best quarterbacks to ever take to a football field. It means it's no surprise that the Kansas City Chiefs player is the favorite to win the award. Mahomes took his team to back-to-back Super Bowls and has played some of his best football in recent memory. He has a cannon arm, tremendous footwork, and is very mobile in the pocket. There were a lot of questions about his ability when top wideout Tyreek Hill left the Chiefs to join the Miami Dolphins in 2022. However, it is safe to say that Mahomes has put all these questions to bed by capturing two Super Bowl rings. He comes into the season as a 5/1 favorite, which means that even for a favorite, you would get a good return on Mahomes.

Value Bet: Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow has become one of the better quarterbacks in the league since being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 draft. The American has taken his team to a Super Bowl where, unfortunately, they came up short against the Los Angeles Rams. He suffered an injury last year, which meant Cincinnati had a less impressive record last season. If everybody stays healthy, then the Bengals will be one of the best teams in the NFL. Burrow has shown he has what it takes to win games and put in big performances. He has a great receiving corps to throw the ball to and a good running game to fall back on. Most likely, the quarterback will feel he has much to prove going into the year as he will look to get his team back to the Super Bowl. Burrow comes into the new year with 9/1 odds, which means whoever backs him will get a nice reward if the bet hits.

Longshot Bet: Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa is a top quarterback in the league today. The Hawaii native's development has been impressive, especially in his third year; Tagovailoa made a big step forward. His ability to get the ball out quickly makes him very effective. Furthermore, he fits into Mike McDaniel's system very nicely. Tagovailoa was a league leader in passing yards last year, and if the Dolphins had done better in crucial games, you could have made a case for him being the 2023 MVP. When speaking about outstanding receiving, Miami is right up there with Hill, Jayden Waddle, and Odell Beckham Jr. Miami's quarterback has been the key to unlocking the offense. If he plays well this year, the Dolphins will do well. This bet is for those who like a longshot because he comes in at 18/1, which means it will have a big payout if you want to take a risk.

There is a lot of talent in the league right now, and it will be interesting to see who wins the MVP award in the 2024/25 season.
