The Falcons look to bounce back after their loss to the Los Angles Chargers last week.

The Carolina Panthers looks to bounce back after a crushing defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals. Where they conceded 42 points. A struggling Walker got bench last Sunday for Mayfield. However, it looks like Walker will be starting under center on Thursday. Even though he had a rough game last weekend, he has put in solid performance in the other games he has started. Ever since the massive trade with the San Francisco 49ers. Which resulted in Panthers losing Christian McCaffery. This has affected the Panthers running game. The evidence for this is that the PFF grade for the Panthers running dropped as soon as McCaffery left. In the game against the Bengals the offensive line did well when the Panthers ran the ball. Then when you look at the defensive side of the ball. The Panthers uncharacteristic struggled against the run when playing the Bengals. A factor of this could be Joe Mixon just had a brilliant game.

When you look at the Falcons, they are coming off a win against the Charges. The reason for success was that the Falcons’ ran the ball well especially in the red zone. This was illustrated by running back Cordarrelle Patterson scoring two touchdowns. Yet, he hasn’t performed as well throughout the season so far. The Falcons’ passing game hasn’t been the best this season. With quarterback Marcus Mariota going over 200 passing yards only three times this season. However, one of these times was against the Panthers.

Looking at how the teams will match up; it looks like its is going to come down to which quarterback will perform the best. This is because both offensive lines are good against the pass rush. Furthermore both defensives aren’t great at rushing the QB. The defensive isn’t known for being good at defending the pass.
