This year’s UEFA Champions leagues quarter finalists are the strongest it’s been in a number of years. With every team being a force in Europe and fully deserving to be in this spot. This morning the draw was made to see which teams will face off against each other. Now we can look at the draws and give you insight on the games that will take place.

 Arsenal VS Bayern Munich

Arsenal VS Bayern Munich- Bayern are known to be Arsenal’s Achilles heel in Europe, with their last three meetings with the German giants all suffering in 5-1 defeats. However, this Arsenal team aren’t the same team they were a few years ago. With the likes of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba the gunners are currently at the top of the premier league and are 1/1 favourites to win the first leg at home (Bet 365). Bayern are very inconsistent at the moment with them only picking up 3 wins in their last 7 games and currently sitting 10 points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Leverkusen. Personally, I would tip Arsenal to beat Bayern over two legs with them being in great form currently, however you should never doubt Harry Kane to score against his former bitter rivals.

 Real Madrid VS Manchester City

Real Madrid VS Manchester City – Now this in my opinion is the game to watch in the quarter finals. The most successful team in the competition’s history taking on the current champions of Europe. Over the last four years these teams have met six times, With Man City winning three times and Madrid winning twice. Both teams come into this tie in strong form, with Madrid being unbeaten in 11 games and City being unbeaten in 21. This draw is honestly a 50/50 with whoever coming out on tops likely being the odds-on favourite to win the tournament.

Paris Saint-Germain VS F.C Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain VS F.C Barcelona – In these two teams last meeting PSG confidently defeated the Catalonian giants 4-1 at Camp Nou. Barcelona is currently sat third in Laliga with a poor start to the season they have now started to be on decent form by going on a 9-game unbeaten streak. To no surprise PSG are top of Ligue 1 with the Parisian side on a 23-game unbeaten streak with their most recent loss coming from AC Milan in the group stage. This game will be competitive; however, I think I’ll tip PSG to defeat Barcelona over two legs. With Kylian Mbappe I believe they jus have enough quality to edge through to the semi-finals.

Athletico Madrid VS Borussia Dortmund

Athletico Madrid VS Borussia Dortmund – This game could be an unexpected thriller of a draw. Both teams sit 4th in their respected leagues with Athletico losing three of their last six matches and Dortmund winning three of their last six. Athletico showed true determination to knockout Italian giants Inter Milan in the round of sixteen with stars like Antoine Griezmann and Marcos Llorente putting on classic performances to get the win on penalties. Dortmund managed to comfortably knock out Holland side PSV. With club icon Marco Reus putting on Steller performances and former player Jadon Sancho back at his old club and starting to play well Dortmund look like a tough task for Athletico. However, knowing the true grit that these Athletico players and Diego Simeone can show I back Athletic to narrowly get past Dortmund to proceed to the semi-finals.

It will be interesting to see how these quarter-final games play out.
