Fans recognise CM Punk as a skilled pro wrestler with a successful career. The American has conquered the pro wrestling world, whether in AEW or WWE. Of course, he took a long break from pro wrestling, and during that time, he competed in the UFC. It didn't go the way he would have wanted, but he says he has no regrets.

Punk made his UFC debut in 2016, and there was a lot of hype around the arrival of the former WWE Champion. He had a lot of fan support behind him  after an incredible run with WWE. The 45-year-old competed in the welterweight division. He finished his MMA career with a 0-1 record and one no-contest. Right away, Punk faced Mickey Gall at UFC 203, throwing himself into the deep end. Gall submitted Punk in the first round of the contest. Then, the pro wrestling megastar would face Mike Jackson, who he lost to at the time, but it was a no-contest. It is safe to say Punk's MMA run didn't go according to plan, but he says he has no regrets.

Punk On His Time In The UFC

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Punk reflected on his time in the UFC.

"I asked my wife the other day because I said something; I was like, 'What was I, 35, when I fought?' And she said, 'Oh no, you were 36 or 37.' I went, 'What the f**k was I thinking?' I'm glad I did it," Punk said. "Zero regrets. I shouldn't have fought in Chicago because it was, like, the worst two weeks of my life. I couldn't cut my weight correctly. I still gained weight, and I'm proud of myself for that.

"I'm an ambitious guy," Punk continued. I get it. It's easy to LOL and make fun of me, you know what I mean? Some people look at that and are like, 'It's embarrassing.' I f**king made the weight, I made the walk. I'm 100 percent proud of myself and would do it again. That was me at my absolute worst, and I did it."
