Aljamain Sterling is a fighter who has had a great career in the UFC and is coming off a notable victory at UFC 300, where he defeated Calvin Kattar. It was a fantastic way to introduce himself to the featherweight division. Now that the former bantamweight champion has entered the 145-pound ranks, there are many exciting options for who he could face next.

Alexander Volkanovski is coming off two crushing defeats and will be looking to bounce back significantly. What better way to do so than by beating a former champion? Both will be looking to get to the featherweight title. When they were both champions simultaneously, there seemed to be a lot of interest in seeing them square off in the Octagon. Sterling will want to take on a big name in the division to make his case for the title. It would be interesting to see how the fight would play out because they are both elite competitors who are very well-rounded and can challenge anyone. The contest would be an incredible one to watch and would attract a lot of attention to the UFC.

The Mexican fighter is a true warrior and always performs well when competing. If he ever takes on Sterling, it would be a true clash of styles, as Rodriguez would want to avoid the takedown at all costs. The former title challenger is coming off a defeat to Brian Ortega. Both parties may be interested in a clash because a victory would do them a world of good. For Rodriguez, a win over someone of Sterling's caliber would put him right back in the title hunt. Sterling would gain a win over an established featherweight who has been at the top of the division for a long time. Like a matchup with Volkanovski, a clash between Rodriguez and Sterling is one that fans will want to see.

Arnold Allen

Arnold Allen has been among the best at 145 for a while now and would give Sterling a good test. A well-rounded fighter, Allen has secured many great results throughout his career. The Englishman is currently ranked fifth in the featherweight division. Furthermore, he is coming off a win against Giga Chikadze at UFC 304. Allen has pushed top fighters to the limit before, notably in his matchup with Max Holloway. It would be a tough fight for Sterling, as Allen is a tough fighter with much experience.

Sterling is a great fighter who should have a strong run at 145.
